Kamloops RCMP are asking for help after a 48 year-old man from Kamloops was fatally injured over the weekend.
They say the man was killed after being hit by a car on Seymour Street, near the BC Lottery Building, on October 20.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the driver did not stop at the scene.
“Around 1:40 AM, a taxi driver called police to report he had come across a man injured and lying on Seymour Street,” she said. “Soon after, police arrived and an ambulance was requested.”
“Life-saving measures were taken. However, the man succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.”
Shelkie added video from a nearby surveillance camera showed the vehicle after it struck the male. It’s described as looking like a mid-2000’s Dodge Neon SX 2.0 four door sedan, silver or grey in colour.
