The Jewish Association of Kamloops says a vigil is planned for tomorrow night to rally behind the 11 victims of Saturday’s Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.
The association’s president Heidi Coleman says the event is called “Remembering Pittsburgh and Celebration of Kamloops Diversity.
“It’s small-town Pittsburgh, but yet there are people in Kamloops who know people who died there. That’s how the world is so small, so we have to show that we’re standing up to this, I mean this is so scary.”
The vigil will be held at the Pavilion Theatre at 6:30 p.m.
Eleven people were killed during the attack and four others were injured, including four police officers.
