Property crimes in Kamloops jumped in the third quarter of this year when compared to 2017.
RCMP Superintendent Syd Leckie told the police committee however when you look into the specifics, a different story emerges.
“Break and enter for businesses decreased by 19 per cent,” he said. “Break and Enter to residences were down 39.7 per cent and other break and enters besides business and homes was down 44 per cent.”
Leckie also says the theft of bikes increased by 15 per cent in July, August, and September of 2018.
