A returning Kamloops Councillor is hailing the new look council, which will be sworn in tonight, as diverse and talented.
“I look at Councillor-Elect [Mike] O’Reilly who is bringing in a strong business sense. Councillor-Elect [Dale] Bass brings her expertise on reporting and coverage of council,” returning Councillor Dieter Dudy said, while on the NL Morning News.
“I see the passion that Councillor-Elect [Bill] Sarai brings, and Councillor-Elect Sadie Hunter is bringing good academia and good common sense.”
That said Dudy adds the four rookies will have a steep learning curve as council gets right to work.
He says it took him about a year to learn all the processes and inner workings of council after he was first elected.
The New Mayor and Council will be sworn in tonight before the first official Council meeting tomorrow.
