Now two weeks into operation, the new Ebus is making some slight adjustments.
The routes aren’t changing, but the company is modifying some route times and stops beginning today.
From Kamloops, departures to Vancouver will leave a little later, at 8:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., and routes to Kelowna will leave a little earlier, at 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
General manager John Stepovy says the adjustments will help cater to more riders.
“In the couple weeks that we’ve been operating, we’ve received quite a bit of feedback from different parts of the communities and we’re working to make those adjustments and final sort of changes.”
Stepovy says two weeks in, demand for Ebus has been what they have hoped for.
“It’s really at the end of the day what we expected. But there’s certainly work to do with working with the communities, building the trust that we’re gonna be around and just building that ridership.”
Meanwhile, Ebus will now also only be stopping through Merritt, Hope and Chilliwack by advance reservation only along all of its routes.
