RCMP vehicles in Kamloops will soon be equipped with dash cams.
Superintendent Syd Leckie revealed the information to city council today.
“Another item that we added that should give us some efficiencies in the coming year is our Watchguard System,” Leckie says.
“Watchguard is an in-camera system where we’re currently getting the ones installed in all our police vehicles. It will provide some efficiencies in the long run in terms of public complaints.”
Leckie says dash cams provide a more accurate record to establish the facts.
