Even though assessments on Kamloops homes won’t be released until early in the new year, they are expected to rise.
B.C. Assessment says there’s a mix in property values across the province.
Outside of Vancouver, you can expect increases of 5 to 15 per cent for single family homes.
Deputy Kamloops Assessor Graham Held expects Kamloops to fall in that range.
“In the city of Kamloops, really we have seen slow and steady growth over the last number of years,” he said. “We haven’t seen the dramatic increases experienced in the Lower Mainland.”
“We have been slow and steady and I think that’s going to be reflected going forward in the 2019 assessment.”
Most of Metro Vancouver will see a drop in assessments.
