A Kamloops councillor admits it’s going to be a daunting task.
Kamloops Council will go over the new committee structure put together by mayor ken Christian at tomorrow’s meeting.
One of those committees will be headed by Councillor Dieter Dudy who will be looking at service levels.
“I wouldn’t say nobody has been looking at them,” he said.
“Because even the last four years you have had the individual departments looking at it.”
“But I think the word from the public is it’s not good enough to have individual departments looking at their own efficiencies. We need another group to be doing that and that’s [why] I think the Mayor felt it necessary to have another group of people coming in taking a look at the whole thing.”
Meanwhile, Councillor Denis Walsh will chair a committee that will examine $3.3-million in service agreements the City has with local organizations.
