Expect a change in the weather forecast in Kamloops.
It might be December, but Environment Canada’s Doug Lundquist says temperatures are going to be warm.
“After we get through the next 24 hours with this chance of showers or flurries this afternoon we are going to have highs in the high single digits perhaps pushing double digits later in the week with some sun,” he said.
Lundquist does note that there will be lots of snow on the Coquihalla between Merritt and Hope today.
“We are forecasting 20 to perhaps 25 centimetres in the next 24 hours on the road between Hope and Merritt,” he added. “We are really going to have to watch for that.”
“Also, Revelstoke heading east, I’m thinking there will be 20 or 30 centimetres happening in the next 24 to 36 hours.”
Environment Canada is calling for a 60 per cent chance of snow or rain in Kamloops today.
