B.C.’s Education minister is keeping his card close to his chest on today’s release of a review of education funding.
Rob Fleming was asked what we can expect to see in today’s report when it is tabled.
“It won’t surprise you and it very much aligns with some of the themes we discussed in the what we heard report that was an interim report that was released by the independent panel in the summer. There will be some themes there that look at long standing frustrations with the current model, and what they found, and some policy directions and recommendations on what might be a better model for B.C.”
The report will be posted to the ministry of education’s website at noon and the minister will talk to reporters an hour later.
The BC Teachers Federation is concerned about any potential changes to funding for special needs students.
