When the Prime Minister holds a fundraiser in Kamloops on Wednesday natural resource advocates will hold a brown bag lunch outside the event, and they have invited Justin Trudeau to join them.
SHARE BC Director Dennis Giesbrecht says it is time to get a pro-natural resource viewpoint out there and in a positive way to the ear of the Prime Minister.
“We just want to get our voice out there that a lot of British Columbians, and Canadians for that matter, is in favour of our resources. We do resources in Canada better than anyone in the world. It is time we start getting some of the positive messages out. The naysayers have been pretty good at getting the negative messages out.”
Giesbrecht says they hope the Prime Minister will come out and join them at what he called a rally, and not a protest.
“I am hoping. We want to keep the message positive and let him know that pro-resource people will work with any government to promote what we do in Canada.”
Justin Trudeau will hold a fundraising luncheon at the Coast hotel before hosting a town hall and taking questions at TRU Wednesday evening.
