Police in Kamloops are asking for the public’s help after a video rental store was robbed last night.
Corporal Jodi Shelkie says the theft at Movie Mart on St. Paul Street happened just before 9 p.m.
“The male had his face covered and was carrying a knife, he jumped over the counter and had the employee open the cash register. He took money from the register and left the store heading west on St. Paul Street,” Shelkie says. “Luckily, the clerk was not injured.”
The suspect is described as being between five-feet-nine and five-feet-10-inches tall and 140 to 150 pounds with darker-coloured skin. Shelkie says he was wearing a light blue hoodie with black sleeves and a large DC logo, as well as a blue baseball cap with an orange brim and a black bandana, as well as black sweatpants and black and blue gloves.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or CrimeStoppers.
