The MLA for Kamloops-South Thompson is now sounding the alarm over the downtown BC Lottery Corporation headquarters project.
Todd Stone says since making his concerns public, BCLC employees have reached out to tell him the word is the project is dead.
Stone worries about the ultimate fate of the Kamloops headquarters.
“There is only one Kamloopsian on that board who was appointed on December 31st last year for a ten-month term, which is really odd,” Stone said.
He wants clarity on the $50-million dollar project.
“My call to action here is that David Eby and the NDP have to stand up, soon, and have got to be crystal clear that they remain committed to Kamloops being the headquarters for BCLC,” he added.
“Not just in name only, but in terms of the employment focus here and in terms of the board representation.”
The Attorney General’s office says BCLC will remain headquartered in Kamloops, but news on the project itself will come later this week.
