A third robbery at a downtown Kamloops business in the past 10 days.
Kamloops RCMP are investigating after the Whispers Adult Store on Seymour Street was robbed yesterday afternoon, just before 4:30 p.m.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says a man entered the store with a knife and took all the money in the cash register.
“And we’re very fortunate again the clerk was not injured. And so we just wanted to ask anybody out there who has information about this suspect… to contact us, or if they wish to remain anonymous to contact CrimeStoppers.”
The suspect, pictured above, had his face covered with a blue mask on during the incident. Police further describe him as being close to six-feet tall with a medium build and believe he is First Nations. He was wearing baggy jeans and a black hoodie with light blue trim on the sleeves, inside the pockets and the hood.
Yesterday’s incident comes after the Movie Mart on St. Paul Street was robbed on January 10th and again on Saturday.
“So far the RCMP have not linked these robberies to each other. We are very thankful that no one has been physically harmed,” Shelkie adds.
“In each of the robberies, the employees’ actions have been exactly what police recommend. They have remained calm, cooperated with the robber and observed what the robber looked like which helps the police later with identifying a suspect.”
