The Interior Health Authority says the emergency department at the Ashcroft Hospital will be closed on Sunday night because of a staffing shortage.

I-H-A says the closure will last eight hours from midnight on Sunday to 8:00 AM on Monday morning.

Those in the Ashcroft area seeking healthcare are asked to visit hospitals in Kamloops, Merritt or Lillooet if they need emergency care, or to call 9-1-1.
