A former Kamloops mayor, MLA, and cabinet minister is considering making a political comeback.
Rumours have been rampant in Kamloops for weeks that former Health minister Terry Lake was going to run for the federal Liberals in this fall’s federal election.
So are those rumours true or false?
“It is true that some people have reached out to me to see if I am interested in running for the federal Liberal nomination. I have had some discussions certainly within our family, and with friends, supporters, and people within the federal Liberal Party. I have not come to a decision yet.”
Lake says he will make a decision one way or another over the next couple of months.
He says it is a huge decision for his family and a job he really likes at the cannabis company Hexo Corporation.
