There’s been no new evidence surrounding the disappearance of Ben Tyner in the Merritt area earlier this week.

The search is into the fifth day, with search teams from across the province helping out.

Police believe the 32-year-old Tyner is in good shape, and very competent in the bush.

But that said, he’s new to the Merritt area, and was hired as ranch manager at the Nicola Ranch last November.

Tyner’s horse was found just north of Merritt around 5:30 AM on Monday, January 28.

He often wears a black and red wool hat with ear flaps, and stands 6 foot 3, weighing 240 pounds with dark hair.
