The norovirus outbreak at Royal Inland Hospital is still going on at Royal Inland Hospital.
The Interior Health Authority had hoped the outbreak would be over today, but spokesperson Brad Buie says two new noro cases happened today.
“We don’t have an all-clear at all of Royal Inland Hospital, we do have two cases, confirmed norovirus, in 5-North of (RIH). It’s the only unit right now that is in outbreak status.”
Buie says two senior homes in Kamloops also continue to deal with the outbreak, those are Pinegrove Lodge and Berwick on the Park.
All told, Bouy says at least 144 people in Kamloops have fallen ill with the norovirus since the first case was reported just over two weeks ago.
