As a new sitting of the legislature resumes the MLA for Kamloops South has a blunt challenge for the Speaker of the House over allegations unnamed MLAs, past or present, broke the law in the spending controversy.
“Either put up or shut up.”
Todd Stone says it is not fair for the Speaker Darryl Plecas to cast a dark cloud over the legislature and everyone in it if he can’t make specific allegations.
“If he has information, especially that may involve criminal activity, they should report that to the police. And they should disclose that to the members of the legislature so that it can be dealth with.”
Stone says to his knowledge neither he, nor any other MLA, is under any kind of police investigation.
He also defends MLA Linda Reid who stepped down as Deputy Speaker saying it is evident even from the Plecas Report she did nothing wrong and broke no rules.
