A woman is safe after a kidnapping and armed robbery in downtown Kamloops yesterday morning, that led to the widespread police activity in the city.
Police are now confirming that two men and a woman were robbed by a pair of men, which is when the woman was taken hostage in a victim’s vehicle.
The investigation led police to a house on Dallas Drive, which was ransacked and empty.
The stolen vehicle was found in an area near Barnhartvale Road and Highway 97, and the investigation led police all the way to an apartment in Kelowna, on Bernard Avenue.
Acting on new evidence, police arrested a man and a woman near Falkland this morning after a vehicle was stopped – and the missing woman was found uninjured.
The investigation is still ongoing and police are working to try and identify and find the second robbery suspect.
They do say it was a targeted crime with people involved in the Kamloops drug trade.
Numerous serious charges are expected against the robbery suspect arrested in Kelowna.
