EBus is expanding weekend service from Kamloops to Vancouver starting March 1.
There will be three departures on Fridays and Sundays on both the Vancouver to Kamloops and Vancouver to Kelowna routes.
Director of Business Development John Stepovy says those two days have a little more potential demand.
“They are permanently on the schedule for sort of our winter season – we’re still trying to figure out our summer season schedules will look like,” he said. “We anticipate hopefully, if all goes well, perhaps having the additional schedule more days a week.”
He’s hoping there’s a demand to increase service every day of the week.
“We’re seeing some pretty good activity in general,” Stepovy noted. “You know a lot of the feedback, in general, has been is about giving people a few more travel options.”
“We’re looking at the days of the week where there’s a little bit more potential demand . We’re thinking weekends are a good time.”
In addition to 8:15 AM and 4:45 PM daily bus from Kamloops, the new Friday and Sunday bus will leave at 12 Noon.
EBus has been operating in Kamloops since October 31, after Greyhound pulled out of Western Canada.
