A month after Merritt cowboy Ben Tyner was reported missing and still no clues into what may have happened to him.
Tyner was reported missing on Jan. 28, when his saddled horse was found near Mamette Lake northwest of Merritt.
Police today have requested anyone who may have dashcam footage or video footage to come forward, as Sgt. Janelle Shoihet explains.
“At this point, we are looking to find anybody who was in the area of Merritt on January 26 and 27, but if you were also in Merritt on the 25th and you have video footage or dash cam footage and haven’t already submitted that information to police, we’re asking you now to contact the Southeast District Major Crime Unit.”
Shoihet says there’s still no evidence to suggest foul play was involved in Tyner’s disappearance.
The Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate the Tyner case, which police have said is due to a lack of local resources.
