It’s been “mostly good” for Ebus in the Kamloops area, four months after they began service to Vancouver and Kelowna.
Director of Business Development John Stepovy says they’ve had their fair share of busy and quiet days.
“We’re trying to encourage more travel and provide a little bit more opportunity,” he said. “We sort of feel that if we can provide a few more options for folks where existing schedules maybe don’t work because of timing.”
He notes they were especially busy over the holiday season in December.
“Some of those folks that don’t necessarily need to take the bus, it’s those folks that can make the difference,” he said, when asked if there are areas they can improve.
“If we can get some of those folks to change their mindset and their habits and take the coach and be able to relax and either get some work done or some homework done in our hands, that’s what’s going to make the difference.”
One of those options kicked in last Friday, Ebus launching a third Kamloops to Vancouver bus on Fridays and Sunday.
Greyhound ended service on Halloween last year, and Ebus was one of the many operators who lined up to fill the gaps.
