An urgent plea for coffee donations from the Mustard Seed, New Life Kamloops.
With the cold snap all through February, they’ve been going through about 10 pounds of coffee every day, or about 650 cups.
Executive Director Diane Down says a number of people that they serve have no where else to go.
“Our place is where they come out and where they find community and safety and a warm cup-of-Joe,” she said while speaking on the NL Morning News.
“Beans don’t work for us with our coffee maker so we would love ground coffee and of course, if people want to bring creamer and sugar too, folks love their sugar here.”
She says they’ve had some donations to date, both from the public and from Starbucks.
If people want to donate, Down says it’s best to head to the Outreach Centre at 181 Victoria St. West.
