It might have been the Kamloops Blazers best effort of the season in a 5-1 victory over the visiting Spokane Chiefs.
The Blazers fired 20 1st period shots and took control on goals from Orrin Centazzo and Connor Zary.
The Blazers kept coming in the 2nd period building a 4-1 lead on Centazzo’s second of the night.
Zary added his second of the night with 1:45 to play as the Blazers closed the night with a season-high 51 shots.
Dylan Garand was solid making 27 saves – his third straight start and victory in place of the injured Dylan Ferguson.
The win coupled with Kelowna being idle, closes the gap to just two points back for 3rd in the BC Division. Both teams have three games remaining.
The Blazers host Victoria tomorrow night, 7 p.m. at the Sandman Centre.
