Atlas the Dog – is homeward bound.

The RCMP in Kelowna say the 18-month-old Golden Retreiver was found and reunited with his owner.

“This exhausting chase is now over,” Taylor Galt wrote on facebook. “There are no words to describe how happy I am to announce that I have Atlas back.”

“I hope this brings light to how amazing the social media world can be to spread light on something that needs exposure. Being reunited with Atlas is the best feeling ever.”

Police got several tips from the public, and are following up on a number of leads.

“Over the past few days Kelowna RCMP have received numerous tips from the public and continued to follow up on a number of potential leads.” said Cst. Lesley Smith.

“While working closely with the complainant, our members were able to track down Atlas’ location and he was returned to his owner just after 4 PM this afternoon.”

Atlas was taken from a fenced yard on March 9, and the incident was caught on video.
