Kamloops RCMP say the incident in the Chase Area is related to a robbery at the Phyven Medical Cannabis Dispensary from March 8.
RCMP here, along with the Emergency Response Team from Kelowna and Chase RCMP executed the warrant around noon today.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says there’s no word yet on any arrests or charges.
“I know they are going to be on scene there till later this afternoon,” she said. “And so I don’t expect any (information) today.”
Shelkie says there is no risk to public safety.
UPDATE 1:15 PM
The RCMP in Kamloops along with the South East District Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant in the Chase area today.
Sgt. Barry Kennedy says it was at a rural property on the Adams Lake Indian Band.
He was asked if there were any arrests made.
“That I don’t know,” Kennedy said. “I do know that there were some people located in the residence but not sure what their status is.”
Kennedy says officers are still on scene and there’s no risk to public safety.
He adds Kamloops RCMP will have more information later today.

Chase RCMP have confirmed that there is an police investigation in the Chase area.
“The Kamloops RCMP and the Emergency Response Team are conducting an investigatiion in the Chase area for one of their files,” Cpl. Chris Manseau, confirmed in an email statement.
No other details are available at this time.
Callers to the Radio NL Newsroom previously told us the the ERT squad is in Chase along with an RCMP armoured vehicle.
