We have new information on the helicopter crash near Blue River being investigated by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.
Mike Wiegele Heli-Skiing says the helicopter was one of theirs and rolled on landing after the pilot lost visibility.
The company says this happened yesterday afternoon and there were 12 people on board at the time.
They says there were no injuries.
The heli-skiing company says within minutes of the crash two support helicopters, a doctor, and three senior lead guides were on scene and providing help.
The company credits its emergency training for the quick response and says it is now cooperating with investigators.

UPDATE 9:35 AM –
There were 12 people on board a helicopter that made a bad landing and rolled on Thursday, but there were no injuries.
Bob Sayer, operations manager and senior guide with Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing, says the accident near Blue River occurred when the pilot “lost reference” and couldn’t see the ground.
Sayer says the chopper was less than three metres in the air and rolled over in the snow.
He adds he flew in with another helicopter, collected the group and returned to the lodge in Blue River.
The Transportation Safety Board confirmed to Radio NL that they’ve sent two investigators to the crash site, and expect to release more information later today.

UPDATE 8:58 AM –
The reports are unconfirmed but NL News has learned that a helicopter rolled over in the Blue River area and was substantially damaged during a ‘heli-skiing operation.’
There were no injuries reported but that is also unconfirmed at this time.
Transportation Safety Board spokesperson Alex Fournier did confirm that two investigators are well on route to Blue River from the Vancouver area.
We’re expecting more information later today.
