A 26-year-old man is in custody after a woman was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries in Sicamous yesterday.

Police say the pair knew each other, and they were called around 6:20 a.m. on April 2.

The woman was found suffering from trauma inside an apartment and treated by Emergency Health Services before being taken to hospital.

Officers from Sicamous and Salmon Arm, along with the Southeast District General Investigation Section, arrested the man without incident, a short while later not far from the apartment building.
