All of the wildfires listed below have been extinguished, according to the BC Wildfire Service.
UPDATE –
One of two new fires discovered yesterday in the Thompson Nicola area has been extinguished.
That’s the fire along Highway 8 at Dot Ranch. It was estimated to be around 0.1 hectares in size.
The BC Wildfire Service says a second fire, 3 km east of Spences Bridge is 0.15 hectares in size, and is also being held.
The 0.40 hectare wildfire near Nekliptum Creek is also being held.
It was discovered on Tuesday, and is believed to be human caused.
ORIGINAL –
A couple of small new wildfires are burning in the Thompson Nicola area.
One is burning 3km east of Spences Bridge, and is estimated to be 0.15 hectares in size.
A second fire is further south east along Highway 8 at Dot Ranch. This one is estimated to be 0.01 hectares in size.
Of the three wildfires burning yesterday, two are extinguished.
A third fire at Nekliptum Creek is still listed as active and burning at 0.40 hectares.
It’s believed to be human caused.
