Police are investigating after a pedestrian was stuck by a van around 10:30 p.m. last night.
It happened at the corner of Tranquille Road and Clapperton Road on the North Shore.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the pedestrian was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
“The driver of the van stayed on scene and our investigation is ongoing to determine what the cause of the collision was,” she said.
Shelkie says the driver’s cooperation will make the investigation easier.
“It’s against the law for a driver to leave the scene of an accident whether they’ve struck property or a person.”
There’s no word yet on what caused this collision.
