A 26-year-old Barriere man has been charged after an incident of night prowling.

Sergeant Janelle Shoihet says the charges stem from an incident that happened at a home last month.

“Mr. Layton MacLaren of Barriere is alleged to have been prowling on a private property at night, and committed a theft from a motor vehicle under $5,000 dollars.”

McLaren is currently in custody on other charges, and is scheduled to appear an appearance in Kamloops court today.
