Going to the dentist isn’t exactly high on people’s list of favourite things to do.
It becomes a bigger problem if you don’t have the cash or coverage to pay for it.
Fortunately, Kamloops has a not for profit dental clinic.
Unfortunately, they’re short on dentists. Diane Down, managing director of the Mustard Seed, says the Give a Day Change a Life campaign is reaching out to Kamloops dentists.
“The province has generously increased funding for access to dental care. However that’s great unless you don’t have a dentist and our clinic, especially with the recent loss of Dr. Bruce Tucker, we need dentists to come and serve in our clinic.”
Down would like to see every dentist in the city donate one day out of the year to help out and keep the clinic going.
