The BC Wildlife Park says Cherry the moose, who lived at the park for the last four years, has died of natural causes.

The park announced the news in a facebook post, saying that Cherry died on Saturday, April 27.

“Our dedicated animal care team ensured that Cherry received the best care available while managing some significant chronic disease issues, the facebook post said. “During the last month, Cherry had been experiencing health issues above and beyond what we had been managing previously.

The post went on to say that Cherry and her loving and gentle nature will be missed.
