If you have a food allergy or just think you might have one, there’s a new tool to help with the diagnosis.
Allergy Check dot CA was developed by Dr Victoria Cook.
She’s an instructor in Pediatrics Clinical Immunology & Allergies at UBC.
She explains the website is a plethora of information. “Each result is actually linked to multiple resources that provide you up to date, accurate information about the symptoms that you’re experiencing. A little bit about allergy testing.”
She went on to say “There’s some information about how to treat life threatening allergic reactions and then also information about what people can actually do to prevent a food allergy.”
Dr Cook says half of the people that have a life threatening food allergy don’t know it.
If you think you do have a serious allergy, you should talk to your doctor.
