Kamloops RCMP say a 34-year-old Prince George man who was stabbed on the North Shore around 3 p.m. yesterday is expected to survive.
Four people were arrested at a house on Linden Avenue without incident a short while later, and three of them have now been charged with one count each of aggravated assault.
Jennifer Manual, 36, Devon McConnell, 39, and Derek Jensen,33, all from Kamloops, were taken into custody
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says the stabbing was related to the local drug trade.
“The fourth person who was arrested also happened to be at the Linden Avenue location and that was 24 year old, Evan Davis,” she said. “While it is not believed that Davis was involved in the assault at the Northbridge Hotel, he was arrested at that time because he had outstanding warrants.”
The victim was found suffering from multiple wounds and bleeding profusely. He was given first aid and taken to Royal Inland Hospital with serious injuries.
Shelkie says there were several witnesses to the stabbing, and along with surveillance video, police were able to identify suspects. Within nine minutes of being dispatched, officers found the suspect’s 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche at a home on Linden Avenue, which is known to police.
Police are asking anyone with information or video footage in the vicinity of Tranquille Road between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., to contact RCMP.
