Since the arrest the CFO of Chinese tech giant Huawei, Canada and China’s relations have gone downhill.

Canadian canola producers have been particularly hit hard with the Chinese government banning it’s imports.

Suits and Boots has started an email campaign called Stand Up to China, hoping Canadians will write the Chinese ambassador and voice their concerns over the ban.

Suits and Boots founder Rick Peterson just how much of an effect the ban is having. “It’s 26 billion dollars into the Canadian economy.”

“It’s 45 thousand jobs across directly and it’s a quarter of a million jobs across Canada that are effected by this. So, it is important that we stand up and say hey listen, this is not right.”

Peterson adds there are about 1,000 canola producers in BC.
