A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of the Nicola Valley, including the Coquihalla highway.
Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking several severe thunderstorms that could lead to strong winds, heavy rain, and nickel sized hail.
As of 3:30 pm this afternoon, the storms were 10 km east of the Coquihalla between the Coquihalla Summit and Larson Hill. It were expected to cross the highway before 4 p.m.
Heavy rain could cause flash floods and water pooling on the roads, and drivers are asked to drive according to the conditions.
