A man was taken to hospital today after a tractor trailer flipped onto its roof today, south of Kamloops.
Kamloops Fire Platoon Captain Darryl Cooper says crews were called out this afternoon to the area of Beresford Road on Highway 5A.
“We arrived and found that the patient had been extricated through the front windshield and taken to the hospital,” he said. “RCMP were on scene and traffic control was in place.”
Cooper wasn’t sure if weather or road conditions were a factor in the crash, but the clean up is underway.
“We want to respond in case of extrication, in case of fire hazard,” Cooper added. “This time of year, we are worried about some of the grasslands catching on fire from that.”
Drive BC says the road is restricted to single-lane alternating traffic.
