An 84-year-old man was arrested in 100 Mile House after an armed robbery at a bank yesterday.

Police say the elderly man allegedly got into the bank with a loaded rifle and demanded money.

He then fled the scene with an unknown amount of money, but was arrested a short time later without incident.

There were no injuries, and the man is currently being held in custody as police investigate.
