Daniel Mills will be the new Executive Director of the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, taking over from the outgoing Kathy Humphreys.
The KSO Board of Governors says Daniel brings with him an array of arts administrative and fundraising experience.
Mills comes to Kamloops from Arts Common in Calgary, where he oversaw their individual giving programs and donor stewardship. He’s also held positions at the the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, and One Yellow Rabbit Performance Theatre.
“I very much look forward to learning what the Kamloops Symphony means to the Thompson Valley, and how we can together continue its legacy as a source of civic pride,” he said, in a release.
“Equally, I eagerly anticipate engaging in meaningful relationships with all of the Symphony’s stakeholders, and determining how collaboration between our partners and patrons can help us achieve sustainable growth for the community as a whole.”
An active classical trumpet player, Mills will start in his new role on June 17
