Gas prices in the Nicola Valley are now by far the lowest in the province.

According to gasbuddy.com, at time of posting, gas is selling for as low $102.4 per litre in Merritt, specifically at the Petro Canada on Nicola Avenue.

Another station is selling gas for $102.9 – the Super Save on Nicola Avenue – while stations are also selling for $112.9 and $118.9. According to gasbuddy.com, the next-cheapest gas in B.C. right now is in Abbotsford, at $118.9.

Gasbuddy senior analyst Dan McTeague the wholesale price right now for stations to buy gas is $1.19 per litre; he called it a gas war as stations are selling for well-below the price they are buying gas for.

The cheapest gas in Kamloops, meanwhile, is at Costco where it is selling for $127.9, with the next closest at $132.9.
