Sales of Electric vehicles have been on the rise every year but there’s one reason why more people aren’t taking the plunge and that’s range anxiety.
BC Hydro asked British Columbians about their thoughts on going electric and there seems to still be plenty of misconceptions.
Spokesperson Tanya Fish says electric vehicles can go further than a lot of people think and there’s also more places to charge up. “We do recommend planning your trip ahead of time. There are some great apps available that you can plan your route that you’re going to take, plan out where you’re gonna stop and charge.”
“We have an app on the Apple store where you can see where our charging stations are and kind of plan where your gonna stop and charge and head on your way.”
Fish says BC Hydro has 58 fast charge stations in the province with more on the way as well as at least 200 more from other providers.
