There were no injuries after a fire in a home in the 1900 block of Snowberry Crescent in Pineview.
Fire captain Shawn Davidson says the blaze began outside the building, but there’s no word on what caused the fire.
“When we arrived on scene, the homeowner had knocked down most of the fire with a garden hose,” he said. “We basically made sure that the fire was completely out and now we are just doing overhaul to make sure that there was no spread of any heat or smoke or fire into the structure.”
Davidson says a passerby alerted the homeowner after spotting the fire, and he’s reminding people to make sure they have working smoke detectors to alert people to potential fires.
