Kamloops RCMP have a man in custody after a stabbing downtown on Canada Day.

The 31-year-old suspect was arrested yesterday afternoon, and he will be going before a a judge ‘soon’.

Police say the BC Prosecution Service will determine if charges will be approved.

A 54-year-old man was stabbed at the corner of 5th and Victoria. Police previously said the suspect and the victim likely knew each other.
