Police went barking up the right tree in seizing stolen goods from a rural property near Chase.
Mounties have seized hundreds of bags of dog and cat food worth $12,700 at a Scotch Creek property – in the 4000 block of Leopold Road.
It is the same property Chase RCMP were called to late last month for reports of stolen Crown timber, where police ended up seizing more than $300,000 dollars worth of firearms and stolen vehicles.
Police say the dog food was related to a theft reported in Delta this past April.
No one has been charged in connection to the seizures but charges are expected to be recommended by RCMP.
