Manitoba RCMP are confirming a burned out Toyota Rav 4 found yesterday near Gillam, Man was the one driven by the suspects wanted for murders in northern B.C.
Mounties did not give an indication on where Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky could be at this point.
The two teenagers are suspects in a double homicide near Liard Hot Springs last week, along the Alaska Highway, and are suspects in the suspicious death of a middle-aged man who was found on the Highway 37 near Dease Lake.
According to Saskatchewan, McLeod and Schmegelsky had been seen driving through Meadow Lake, Sask. on Sunday night, before their vehicle was found burned in rural Manitoba.
The two suspects are from Port Alberni and, according to family, were planning to head to Whitehorse to look for work, prior to becoming murder suspects.
Manitoba RCMP say the public should continue to be vigilant and to report and suspicious activity.
