What is Kamloops going to look like in 2050?
That’s a question that an upcoming event on October 3rd will try to address.
Kamloops Tomorrow is a community building platform to have a conversation about what projects, businesses and initiatives that Kamloopsians are are wanting to work on to move us into the future.
That’s how Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Acacia Pangilinan describes it.
While on the NL Morning News, she acknowledged those three topics raise a lot of questions. “That’s why this event is so important because there are so many ideas and there needs to be a platform to deliver what those ideas are and whether it be from people in business, regular people in the community or business associations they should be given an opportunity to talk about what they want their community to look like down the road.”
Pangilinan says they’re targeting businesses that are forward thinking and perhaps creating their businesses as a solution to a social issues or environmental issues.
