A Kamloops woman is among three people facing charges after being arrested in a drug trafficking investigation in Edmonton last week.
Devon Burtch, 26, was charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and possession of a prohibited device. Also facing charges are two Kelowna residents, Matthew Bailey, 28, and Morgan De La Ronde, 22.
Along with 4.8 kg of cocaine, police seized $16,380 in cash, two prohibited handgun magazines, and two BMW’s.
The investigation began in July, and the trio were arrested on August 20. It focused on three suspects who were known for drug trafficking and other similar offences in Prince George.
Police say a home was searched in Edmonton’s Garneau neighbourhood, along with a storage facility in the Lewis Farms Industrial area.
