Update Nov 6:
A neighbour of a home in the North Shuswap where two suspicious deaths happened last night says almost nightly there were screaming matches at the home.
The neighbour says a couple lived in the home where two bodies were discovered on Fraser Road.
“Just the screaming matches, they fought a lot. It was almost on a nightly basis… I could hear everything,” the neighbour says. “I never heard anything that made me think it would escalate to something like this.”
The neighbour says the cops have been called there repeatedly over the years but says a number of people have lived there in that time.
Meanwhile, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District says there is no risk to public safety following yesterday’s incident.
Police have only said the two deaths are suspicious in nature, and that their investigation is in the early stages. They confirm they were called around around 3:40 p.m., around the same time as BC EHS.
The CSRD says there will be an RCMP presence in the area for some time as the investigation continues.
“Early indicators suggest that the incident is isolated in nature,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “Our investigators primary goal will be to positively identify each of the deceased. Forensic specialists will be assisting major crimes with the collection of evidence as they conduct a full examination of the scene.”

Original Nov 5: The bodies of two people have been found in a home in a rural area in Anglemont in what the RCMP say is a suspicious incident.
As of 11:20 p.m., Chase RCMP were securing the scene, and police say the investigation is in the early stages.
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says the investigation is being led by the Southeast District Major Crime Unit.
News of the incident was first reported on social media with people reporting ‘a heavy police presence’ heading north of Celista, including a group of unmarked police vehicles.
It is believed to have been a ‘high risk’ operation, and there were also reports that the two people were shot and that locals were advised to shelter in place. Police however, have not confirmed any of that at this time.
BC Emergency Health Services says ambulance crews were called to the incident around 3:40 p.m., and paramedics were held back while police investigated. Ambulance crews were released from the scene nine hours later at 12:30 a.m., and BC EHS says the matter is now in the hands of police and the BC Coroners Service.
